PERIOD LIVING MAGAZINE

An editor’s introductory letter sets the scene for the magazine ahead, and the editor of Period Living wanted the design of the page to do the same. Reflecting the theme of the magazine and the time of year of publication, these illuminated capitals were drawn by hand and reflect the mood of the rest of the magazine - from the first shoots of spring, to summery seafronts and a blowsy cottage garden in high summer, through to fruitful mellow autumns and the sparkle of Christmas.
